The last cigarette confrontation between UNC and Duke during the Mike Kusijefski era ended in the late game. Hewbart Davis's tar heel won 81-77 in an incredible match with the lead change and shooting repeatedly. Caleb Love scored 28 points, Armand Bacot scored 11 points and 21 rebounds.

We will analyze each game and deliver highlights.

Love's 3 makes the difference for UNC

Duke and North Carolina played a rival showdown on the largest stage in the sports world. The US sem i-finals were promised. Love eventually scored three out of 28 points in 40 minutes, leading Tarhires to victory in 81-77.

For Kushijifusuki, this defeat was the end of an unparalleled career. It is appropriate for his last team to surpass many people's expectations. K coach was the same in the Duke era.

The legendary coach's last game was also characteristic of the outstanding performance by the first coach and his team. Earlier in the second half, North Carolina showed a 13-0 run and gave Blue Devils a six-point lead. Duke also responded in 10-2 spurt, and the game continues.

The first half was cold, but Love and Brady Moneeck began to score three points. At the end of the coat, Blue Devils had no choice but to pass the ball to Manek. Paolo Banchero did this well.

Both teams enjoyed board games and scored a second chance. Armand Bacot also took 21 rebounds in the area, of which eight rebounds were offense.

Love also played a key role for UNC, while Trevor Keels scored 19 points off the bench for Duke. With two minutes to go, the teams traded three-pointers and plus-threes: Keels, Manek and Wendell Moore Jr. all hit from the arc.

As a result, the game came down to free throws and clutch shots. Mark Williams missed two free throws in the final minute, and Love hit a three-pointer to seal the game for North Carolina.

UNC survives and advances!

In one of the most exciting games of the NCAA Tournament, the Tar Heels defeated the Blue Devils to move on to the bottom of the NCAA Tournament and put the famous Krzyzewski in the final game of March Madness. The final economic game of the year.

THIS. GAME.

You know why big games don't live up to expectations? This isn't one of them.

Huge putback from Mark Williams

This UNC vs. Duke game was all about the periods, and Williams, in his own style, eliminated mistakes.

Don't look now .

But there was light at the end for UNC. Duke scored two early points, but the Tar Heels went on a 13-0 spurt to take the lead.

Fouls mounting but Duke holds a slim lead

Despite the oft-used phrase "foul trouble," North Carolina and Duke had an exciting half that ended in a 37-34 win for the Blue Devils. This was largely due to Banchero and RJ Davis pacing their respective teams with 10 and 14 points, respectively.

Let's not forget that the state semifinals in the Superdome are Duke and North Carolina. These teams know each other inside and out and are doing their best on the court.

As for the foul trouble, it showed up immediately. Coach Krzyzewski sat Williams for just five minutes as the sophomore made two errors. Theo John came in to replace Williams, but John made four errors in 11 minutes.

Late in the meeting, Duke switched to a "small" project, with Banchero essentially playing in the "5" position. With just this, the Blue Devils continued to do what they had been doing all tournament. Coach K's team got the ball in the paint, making 14 of 25 two-pointers.

Neither team made shots from the perimeter, and Duke and UNC combined for just 5 of 25 three-pointers. That means Manek, who has been the most efficient three-point shooter in the tournament, seems to have given up.

In the first half, the Blue Devils made just 0 of Manek's two shots. Love also missed all four due to the boundary line. UNC was lucky to have Davis on the field with that big number.

If Williams plays more than five minutes in the second half and one or both teams hit the rim due to the limitations of the "paint," the final stages of the game could be even more exciting. John Gasaway

There are more powerful ways to take your team out of the running for the championship in a Final Four game. But there aren't many of them.

Fired up

What's the chance that Coach K, who lost his final home game of the regular season, will face his arch rival in his final game? This game has the potential to be good.

McCormack and KU just too much for Nova

Everyone remembers David McCormack's post dunk, but the truth is, the Kansas senior was too big for Villanova all night in the Jayhawks' 81-65 win.

First, the pitch. 10 minutes in. With the score at 2-50, McCormack scored two points, ignoring all attempts by Jermaine Samuels to stop him. In a fit of euphoria, McCormack leapt into the air and began stroking his head, no doubt aware of the precedent he had set for scoring an outside goal.

McCormack had a right to celebrate. His 25 points that night were his best since December 2019. It took him just 29 minutes and 12 shots to put his team away on the opening day of the week before the state title game.

McCormack wasn't without help. Ochai Agbaji made six 3-pointers and Christian Brown scored 10 points after halftime. Kansas made 13 3-pointers, its most efficient shooting since February.

Villanova's text hit 13 more balls to the ring. Then he accelerated Collin Gillespie's sluggish start, embodying the route to 17 points and 5 three-pointers.

Held by the Wildcats', he reduced the delay to 6 points at once. But Agulbaji's McCormack answered all the villains of the Wildcats.

This season, Villanova decided 83% of their fouls themselves, breaking the 1984 Harvard record.

The Wildcats sold 8 of 10 fouls in that game, but that proved not enough to prevent the Gigi Hawks from competing for the title on the opening evening of the week.

Jayhawks dominate early, then Nova recovers

After beating Miami 47-15 in the second half of last weekend's division final, Kansas got revenge early in the game against Villanova. Agni scored 12 points and Jahhawks made seven three-pointers in a 40-29 win over the Wildcats.

Kansas started the game with a 10-0 acorn, with the Sojacs taking the lead in the first 15 minutes. The Wildcats finished the race with a 10:0 3-choice personal run with one attack made by Brandon Slater. As a result of Slater's stubborn work on the glass, Gillespi was left with 3 points and a frustrated self-outline called a timeout.

In fact, at the start of the game, it was expected that the Jahouks would be able to apply their dimensions to get a good quality. McCormak solved this in his mind, scoring 13 points in 1/2 of the game, almost all of which fell in the paint, where he played deep and was injured.

But, for example, what was surprising was that KU could not master their dimensions in terms of defense. Vilanova has taken nine of f-ense ribbounds, and only this second chance remains wildcats in the game.

Vilanova is satisfied with the fact that Christian Brown and Remy Martin have only obtained three points. Overall, Kansas does not need them. Agubaji and Makomak were responsible for the offense with 40 scores in just 30 possessions.

The match proceeded at a pace of wildcats, but the light team could not take the initiative in the game. One of the most useful correction points in the second half of the game? To make the Viranova defender from dribbling and can not help. John Gasaway

21 on, Duke was a perfect against teams not from North Carolina (and vs. teams from the Tar Heel State). Last we checked, Vermont. Hubert Davis had a fabulous debut as a head coach: North Carolina held a double-digit edge over Kansas at halftime of the national. Duke hasn't been here since , North Carolina hasn't been since , this is Villanova's fourth Final Four since and Kansas' sixth.
