Mental well-being and sleep quality among vocational college students in Sichuan, China during standardized COVID-19 management measures

Purpose: In this study, an important problem in which the epidemic of COVID-19 affects the impact of the mental happiness and quality of sleep of the top vocational schools in Sichuan Province, China, and affects the psychological happiness at this stage. Was revealed.

Methods: From January to February 2022, a comprehensive random survey was conducted for 3, 300 students at Sichuan Province several top vocational schools. Data collection was conducted by direct interviews with qualified interviewers.

Of the 3, 049 valid responses, many people answered that they actually felt the symptoms of mental decline, anxiety, depression, and insomnia, and the disease was 21, 2 %, 9, 7 %. , 14, 1 %, 81, 9 %. Items that had a positive effect on mental happiness and sleep include improving family economic condition, reducing stress due to pandemic, and reducing energy online. Conversely, the lack of physiological energy after pandemic, the interruption of education and work, and the deterioration of human relationships was a negative reason. In fact, it is interesting that the lack of knowledge of psychological happiness before the pandemic acted as a protective factor for insomnia.

Conclusions from COVID-19 have a significant impact on the psychological happiness and sleep of vocational trainees for economic, emotional, current, current, and educational reasons. The results of this survey emphasize the need for intervening in a focus to effectively deal with these goals.

1 Introduction

Since early 2022, COVID-19 trends have been confirmed, multifaceted infection, long-term asymptomatic, high propagation, rapid infection, and the most important thing (1) (1) (1). ). This epidemic issued many infected people and deaths around the world (2). At the same time, it worsened signs of psychological efforts and psychological happiness in all fields in society (3). Typical symptoms include depression, calm episodes, deep anxiety, fear, insomnia, and many physical symptoms (4-6). According to the survey, the anxiety and depression rate of infected people (31, 91, 54, 26 %) are no n-infected (9, 18, 21, 36 %; P < SPAN> Purpose: COVID in this study. The trend o f-19 has surveyed the impact of the mental happiness and sleep quality of the top vocational schools in Sichuan Province, China, and has revealed important issues that affect the psychological happiness at this stage.< 0.05) (7), with the former group also encountering heightened suicidal risks and diminished sleep quality (8).

2.1 Research hypotheses

Methods: From January to February 2022, a comprehensive random survey was conducted for 3, 300 students at Sichuan Province several top vocational schools. Data collection was conducted by direct interviews with qualified interviewers.

Conclusions from COVID-19 have a significant impact on the psychological happiness and sleep of vocational trainees for economic, emotional, current, current, and educational reasons. The results of this survey emphasize the need for intervening in a focus to effectively deal with these goals.

2.2 Study population

The reaction of the decline is multifunctional, and the age, education level, geographical state, economic state, and the decline of Covid-19 (9, 10). The World Health Organization (WHO) has been significantly increased in mental disorders, since then, is about 25 % (about 100 million) every year and 60 million. 11). According to larg e-scale research (56 932) conducted in China, depression, frustration, insomnia, and acute stress were 27, 9 %, 31, 6 %, 29, 2 %, 24, 4 %. It is indicated that it was (12). The members whose COVID-19 options were confirmed or allowed had more depression symptoms (13). Pandemic stress is more likely to increase the rate and tension of frustration, depression, pos t-traumatic stress disorder, and dependence on mental effects, especially among young people around the world (14). This is the need for continuous research, which specializes in the effects of pandemic on the psychic welby swing of youth.

According to studies conducted around the world, the epidemic of COVID-19 has a significant impact on students' psychological happiness, and is evidence that the level of anxiety and depression is increasing. According to a comprehensive meta analysis, 31 % and 34 % of students around the world were found to be actually protected (15). The test also revealed important regional differences in psychological happiness, which was associated with the intensity of the COVID-19 regional epidemics. In particular, students in the United States and Spain announced that the psychological health issues had worsened during pandemics, and were actually alert and depressed compared to Dupan Demic. Similarly, it was observed in China that the number of students was visibly increased by students during the decrease in Cobid 19. According to NAS and others, the level of depression and excitement was 331, 8 %, and 10, 4 % (16). In subsequent studies by Yang Shinju and others, the ratio of the signs of excitement and depression was 39, 0 % and 26, 9 %, respectively (17). These data indicate that pandemic had a major impact on students. < SPAN> The person's reaction to the decline is multifaceted, and the age, educational level, geographical status, economic state, and the decline of Cavid-19 (9, 10). 2.5 Mental health and sleep assessment tools

Although the physical and mental developmental characteristics of college students and vocational school students are similar in a larger social background, there is a significant difference between university education and general undergraduate education. These differences are reflected in educational philosophy, learning goals, educational travels, and occupation choices. In particular, in the traditional context of China, where educational background is emphasized, vocational training is often inferior (18) because of the low social acceptance of vocational education (18). Against the backdrop of hig h-vocational education, students are in a turning point in which students mature psychologically and physically. In the rapidly developing market economy, they are facing academic competition and increasing employment pressure. The acceleration of the pace of life and the shortening of social time has a further impact on their sel f-esteem and expectations, and often brings the ideal and realism (19). This mismatch leads to internal conflicts, significantly hinder psychological adaptation, and is more susceptible to depression, anxiety disorder, pos t-traumatic stress disorder, sleep disorders, and other mental disorders (20). Despite the importance of this problem, there is almost no study on the following mental health issues. < SPAN> The physical and mental characteristics of college students and vocational schools are similar in a wider social background, but there are significant differences between university education and general undergraduate education. The COVID-19, a collective infectious disease from 2020 to 2023, was announced, and many classes were announced. During this big setback, the mental health of a vocational school student was forced to make important changes, expressed by sustainable and negative impressions, such as fear, discrimination, desire, and sensual collapse (22). ). Apart from this, preventive and management measures during pandemics had the opportunity to increase the risk of forming, depression, and other psychological disorders. Apart from this, students had the opportunity to change their thoughts on society and events, causing dissatisfaction and pessimism, and in some cases, causing social isolation and fear before going out (23). 3.1 Participant demographics and COVID-19-related factors

3.1.1 Participant demographics

A multi-stage method of random cluster collection was used. The selection process consisted of three edges. First, among the 12 metropolitan areas, Wenjiang District (Cendu) was randomly selected, which became the unit of cluster selection. In the second line, consisting of all universities in the Wenjiang region, five vocational universities were randomly selected, each of which became the cluster selection unit. In the final line, 3300 students were randomly selected from the data of five vocational colleges in the Wenjiang region. Students who were actively studying participated in the study, answered the questionnaire, and lived in the country where the institute was located during the study period. Students in absentia or domestic isolation were liquidated. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Wenjiang Dapu Chendu District Ethnic Hospital (Encouragement Notice No. 2023-008).

During the study period, data collection was carried out using a comprehensive questionnaire, including demographic data, life type, mental stress, psychological health problems, sleep quality, etc. Participants provided demographic data, economic background, and parental education level, and also talked about their own experiences during the pandemic, related to isolation, degree of stress, attachment to studies, physiological energy, time spent on screens, difficulties in work, and interactions with family and friends.

3.1.2 The COVID-19 related characteristics of the participants

To assess people's collective psychological well-being before the final month, the Chinese version of the 12-item Community Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) (24-26) was used. The GHQ-12 is widely recognized for its widespread use of psychological disorders in society in epidemiological studies, and it links 12 questions and rates each on a spectrum from 0 to 1, resulting in a maximum score of 12. The rating system organizes the risk of psychological well-being in three levels: rating: 0 to 1 rating, which are indicated at low risk, 2 to 3 estimates - for moderate risk, and 4 or more estimates - for increased risk. A threshold of 3 points or more was used to identify individuals with tasks likely to be evidence of psychological well-being. In the provided study, the internal consistency was α=0, 896.

In order to evaluate anxiety, "General Alarm DisplayXATION-7" (GAD-7) (27, 28) was used. The tool is based on the standards of DSM-IV and aims to measure the severity and effects of the seven symptoms of anxiety experienced in public in the past two weeks. GA D-7 has 0 to 3 evaluation systems for each seven points, the highest score is 21 points, indicating a certain level of anxiety: 0 to 4 points are not anxious, 5 to 9 points are simple. Anxiety, 10 to 14 points show moderate anxiety, and 15 or more points are severe. 10 or more evaluations show a remarkable anxiety symptom. In this study, the internal consistency was α = 0, 966.

3.2 General health and mental well-being during COVID-19

The depression symptoms were evaluated using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) (29, 30) questionnaire that meets the depression standards of DSM-IV. This tool is designed to screen local residents' depression in the past two weeks, consists of nine points, which is estimated in the range of 0 to 3, and has a total of 27 points that can be evaluated. 。 From 0 to 4 points, there are no depression, 5 to 9 points are mild depression, 10 to 14 points are moderate depression, and more than 15 points are severe depression. 10 or more points show a noticeable depression symptom. In this study, the internal consistency was α = 0, 948.

The insomnia index (ISI) was used to quantify the recent severity of insomnia (ISI) (31). This index has seven points, which are evaluated for a total of 28 points, respectively, respectively. The severity of insomnia is classified as follows: 0 to 7 points-mild, 8 to 14 points-mild insomnia, from 15 to 21 points-second insomnia, 22 to 28 point s-Severe insomnia. MALLES 8 or more are regarded as signs of insomnia. In this study, the internal consistency was α = 0, 928.

3.3 Associations with general health and mental well-being

The descriptive statistics summarized the scales points, and the category data was represented by frequency and percentage. In order to compare category data between groups, a high quadrata test determined in the formula (1) was used.< 0.05, or p < 0.001; Table 2). Those who perceived their studies and daily routines as heavily impacted by COVID-19, along with those whose educational pursuits and job searches were disrupted post-COVID-19, also reported poorer health ( p < 0.001).

4.6 Mental health knowledge and self-regulation skills affect the mental health and sleep quality

Table 1 shows the demographic data and characteristics of the study participants regarding COVID-19. There were 903 men (29, 6%) and 2, 146 women (70, 4%), with a mean age of 20, 9 ± 0, 02 years. The majority of respondents, 58, 3%, said they lived in a family of 4 to 6 people. The economic situation of the family in the previous year was on average 75, 6% of the respondents. 71, 9% said they were not in a romantic relationship. The educational background of the parents varied: 42, 0% of the founders had at least a high school degree, and 40, 7% of the mothers had a high school degree.

4.7 The characteristics of the vocational students and the contributions of the study for psychological construction in college students

Table 1. Demographic data of members

Table 2 shows data on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 91, 6% of students said they would not have been isolated during the normal course of the epidemic. About 60, 2% of students believe that their academic work has partially returned to normal after the epidemic. Online use during the epidemic was low: 56, 3% of members were online from 2 to at least 5 hours a day. Physical energy was significantly reduced: 68, 8% did not exercise during the epidemic. Although the epidemic had a significant impact on daily life, 64, 3% of members expected to gradually return to normal life as history improves. Before the pandemic, 63, 9% sought information about psychological well-being. Relationships with family and friends, including romantic partners, remained unchanged for 69, 9% of members. In fact, 64, 8% felt that the pandemic had little impact on their current efforts at education or employment.

This study aims to study the psychological well-being and sleep of students of vocational schools in Sychuan province (China) during the normalization phase of Pandemia Covid-19 and to identify the key issues affecting their psychological well-being. Our study highlights the important impact of all kinds of moments on students' mental well-being and sleep mode, and in fact contributes to the development of personal psychosocial strategies to improve their joint health. When teaching students pandemic norms, it is quite fundamentally accepted that epidemics can have a great stress and psychological impact. Of course, to test negative impressions during these periods, it should not lead to excessive intellectual strain. The recognition of these emotions is associated with an intensive role in the fight against emergency mental intoxication and pandemics. Salading of contagious diseases, awareness of the nature of microorganisms, awareness of the pandemic, not succumbing to disinformation, trust in the health measures of the municipality have every chance to turn fear into a constructive influence. Protecting oneself without excessive fear, maintaining publicized communication channels and introducing technologies for interaction with the public have every possibility to alleviate the feeling of isolation. Adherence to certain diet and sleep, leading a healthy life, leads to the preservation of a normal life. Compliance with hygiene rules, development of stress control methods, and psychological discharge are also some of them.

Our study showed that in the context of normalized COVID-19, the prevalence of general health, anxiety, depression, and insomnia among vocational school students in Sichuan province was 21, 2%, 9, 7%, 14, 1%, and 81, 9%, respectively. These figures are much higher than previous studies, in which the anxiety and depression levels of 1, 676 students were 9, 4% and 27, 7% (33, 34). The pandemic has obviously exacerbated the mental health problems faced by students (35). Possible reasons include the great psychological stress and mental health symptoms experienced by students during the pandemic. Constraints such as home isolation, limited social interactions, disruptions to daily life, work problems, and strained family relationships may have contributed to the increase in anxiety, depression, and insomnia (36, 37). Nevertheless, some studies have shown that students' mental health is better during the normalization period than at the beginning of the pandemic, which may be associated with post-traumatic growth (38). In addition, discrepancies in findings can be explained by differences in the time of the survey, regional and cultural differences in the subjects, and the use of different survey methods.

During the pandemic period, students who have a good family economic condition, have little mental stress, and have little involvement on the Internet has the best health, depression, and insomnia. I understand what it is. The normalization period of the pandemic had a significant impact on the economic state of many students (39). In this study, physiological energy and alternative lifestyles in the early pandemic show positive relationships and positive relationships with improving the psychological health of students in the laboratory, especially the decrease in depression and insomnia signs. The actual physiological movement is expected to be related to the stability of pandemic and subsequent school students with good psychological evidence (39). Prior to that, it was recorded that the signs of frustration and insomnia increased before and before normalization of pandemic (42) (42). Apart from this, there is a good chance that anxiety and depression can adversely affect the quality of sleep, and there is actually a fiction that bad dreams can escalate signs of depression and awakening, and this conclusion is this time. It is consistent with the research results of. In short, physiological exercises such as jogging, yoga, tennis, and bathing were recognized to reduce anxiety. The important effect of physiological exercises is the ability to promote muscle relaxation throughout the body, which is even more important to overcome restless disorders. Apart from this, physiological movements actually increase the secretion of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, noruepinephrine, and serotonin, and promote awakening and depression signs.

The need for the next research in this necessary field is clear. Our results indicate that students who are facing violations in their educational and career paths are usually suffering from the worst direction of the psychological wel l-end meeting, which is the conclusion. Our research has shown that the relationship between students, colleagues, and romance has decreased since the early days of pandemic, which is actually anxiety about the normalization of Cobid-19 management. It is correlated with the increase in depression importance. These data consistent with the results of pr e-research, which recorded that the importance of anxiety and depression increased among students during this difficult period (37). Our results say that those who temporarily did not take into account in front of psychological wells were most likely to suffer insomnia. This monitoring actually has a high possibility that people who consider psychological wells before pandemic are sensitive to the stressful moment, and actually increases the risk of insomnia formation. It is assumed that. It has been documented that the emotional position of university students on sleep is important in connection with pandemic. The pressure related to the introduction and isolation of online learning may have worsened sleep quality and emotional happiness. Apart from this, psychological and wel l-known knowledge of evidence is a sel f-control and psychological adjustment that has any chance to solve it at a specific degree. Apart from this, students at the research institute that chase physiological energy every day show a tremendous stability due to the decline of social medical care. In fact, students who exercise 30 minutes to 1 hour can exercise up to one hour a day. Until one hour a day, I rarely feel stress. Systematic small physiological movements are regarded as effective strategies for struggle and vigilance, and physical energy promotes positive psychological formation. This itself supports mental evidence, relieves anxiety, and promotes quality sleep (53). This study focuses on how as society becomes the eyes of students in our country, the important composition also becomes enduring. Educational institutions have every opportunity to increase the relevance of education in the field of psychological wells only for students by taking into account and comprehensively recognizing the daily changing psychological state of students. Students of the highest professional schools have a strong curiosity for external information and are often mentally shocked by social considerations and regression. Therefore, it is a very fundamental concern to educate students of professional schools in psychological wells in social decline and promote their overall growth (55). For starters, it is important to raise teachers' awareness about teaching psychological wells and to emphasize the incorporation of teaching psychological wells into vocational training programs. Secondly, it is important to increase the attractiveness of psychological education events in the highest professional institutions and ensure their attractiveness, diversity, and legal ability to start the role of students. Thirdly, it is important to clarify the central role of students, attach importance to their participation, and encourage their participation in the events.

It is important to accept the limitations of the research provided. First, the cross-sectional nature of the provided study means that the relationship between the tasks of psychological well-being, insomnia and the possible causes of risk cannot be recognized as causal. Second, the support for self-reported data on general well-being, anxiety, depression and sleep status may not fully meet the estimates of experts on psychological well-being. Third, differences in official standards may limit the applicability of our results to other regions.

In order to support the normalization and sustainable development of psychological well-being, it is necessary to introduce education on psychological well-being into daily teaching activities, create an environment and atmosphere that supports education on psychological well-being, and put education on psychological well-being into practice. -What is education? Based on the mental state of students in vocational education, teachers should incorporate more progressive content into education on psychological well-being and use some recent current affairs as teaching materials on psychological well-being to awaken students' thinking. Actively use the teaching materials obtained from crisis management activities to teach students to maintain good deeds for people and face difficulties even in the face of crises.

The COVID-19 microorganism pandemic has significantly changed people's way of life and behavior, and has had lasting consequences for society. Among its victims are students who are facing great mental stress, and a comprehensive approach to their psychological well-being is urgently needed. Governments, educational institutions, public institutions, and families must work together to improve students' mental well-being. Common efforts include the introduction of social resources such as the psychological well-being platform and key components of help developed by the government, the launch of psychological well-being screening by educational institutions and research institutes, and the implementation of virtual and face-to-face surveys of seminars on psychological well-being. These measures allow students who face mental problems to almost immediately receive emotional counseling and treatment from experts to stabilize their emotional state. In addition, public and domestic support mechanisms are urged to actively provide low-cost measures, and parents are further encouraged to deepen mutual understanding with undergraduates and create an environment that supports their psychological well-being. Conducting this study two years after the outbreak of the pandemic has revealed the ongoing problems of the pandemic.
