Our work with FC Arsenal continues: the results of last season were published this week. Compared to the 2022/23 season, there was a 90% decrease in the number of detected cases of online abuse among club members. However, online abuse in the Premier League and in football in general remains a challenge. Our research shows that the 2023/24 season saw a 24% increase in the number of online insults against Arsenal players and coaches. Our Threat Matrix service monitors community feeds and helps the club identify and report content targeting Arsenal players and coaching families. We work closely with the club to detect and expose abusive accounts, and last season two club members were found and banned for online abuse. Where abuse is discovered, we work with the club, community media companies and law enforcement to ensure appropriate action is taken. #football #arsenal #onlineabuse #defense #sport https://lnkd. in/eNKMRCyF

We are delighted to partner with Signify. Signify will assist me in detecting, reporting and investigating defamatory and threatening content on the public network, right across the line as I target all public grid platforms. Signify has already uncovered many bad actors, including a number of those behind harmful "anonymous" accounts, and is working with my legal advocates to help adopt enforcement measures. However, I prefer to focus on more proactive ventures, and I maintain that change only has every chance of happening as a result of actually confronting perpetrators directly and holding them accountable under civil and criminal penalties. In recent weeks, we have ensured that online abuse, misinformation and discrimination can cause great harm in the real world. I will follow the police and the government to ensure accountability and consequences for bad actors, through criminal charges, civil actions and real-world consequences. Absolute Release ⬇️

In the wake of frequent online harassment, we encourage our sponsored athletes to access cybersecurity suggestions to minimize the impact of vulgar content during major sporting events. In collaboration with Signify, we support them with their own audience, who do not raise suspicions of insults, and give a proposal of a matrix of dangers based on the artificial origin of the mind for the defense of the athletes.
