Playtech Live Studio Visit Live Casino Comparer
Visit to Playtech Live Casino Studios in Riga
My visit to Studio Playtech Live Casino has been in the works for the last 5 years.
Of course, it was worth the wait. I had a great day meeting some amazing people whose job it is to provide entertainment to an online audience of 1, 000 people a day.
Introduction
I have just returned from my first trip to Studio Playtech Live Casino in Riga, Latvia.
The trip came after a conversation in Las Vegas, during my visit to the G2E conference in October.
I was invited to take an unvarnished look behind the scenes at what it takes to implement Living Casino Playtech.
Trip Summary
I was expecting it to be cold as usual in January in Riga, but it was a very pleasant 8 degrees and lots of sunshine!
My visit included a full tour of the building and studio, as well as an additional meeting with the head of the Ilse Education Academy and an impromptu meeting with the Chief Director of Technology.
I can't give you any details, but I see a number of exciting new games and opportunities in 2020.
One thing I learned from this hectic day is that my ideas about Playtech casinos were completely wrong.
Having not had a good relationship with Playtech casinos in the past, I had read some pretty negative reviews about the "old" days of Playtech and had my opinion fixed.
To be honest, the reality I encountered was a million miles away from this.
What I saw was a modern, cutting edge company, with its staff at its heart, and dealers at the heart of everything it does.
Everything I saw backed that up. From the free gym and sauna for staff, to the comprehensive training academy, to how employees are supported before they make a career out of it, if they're interested in it.
Most of the dealers are students, and I was told that there are many employees who are also pursuing a career with a purpose.
The fact that many students stay after graduation is an indication of what Playtech has to offer.
Location
Studio Pit is located on the banks of the Daugava River, just a stone's throw from the Presidential Palace.
The outside is made of glass, which offers a great view of the river. Unlike most modern buildings, there is no protective glass, so the public and tourists can see inside.
Fortunately, the studio is on the back and on the lower floors, and there is an unprecedented space for direct broadcasting.
Peace Of Mind
Security is noticeable everywhere. Video cameras are installed so that they can not be seen, but can be monitored from all angles.
All doors and public areas are protected by the consistency of cards and biometric technology. Of course, it goes without saying that security guards are located throughout the building. The fundamental cause of these best security lies in three qualities:
- Staff protection
- Technical defense.
- Complies with many licensing suspensions.
I don't think about you, but I want to see more than less. This kind of knowledge is actually serious, and we stress me with confidence that we are actually playing online games.
Meeting Those in Charge
I was anthropomorphic the role of the advanced general manager in the office every day, introducing ambitious energy and excitement for all events in Edo HAITIN.
Kevin Killminster is developing and implementing the conclusions for live dealers and can help him. It is clear that they are wonderful teams and are respected throughout the organization.
My field trip took a whole day. I was able to enter all buildings (excluding my owner, excluding the first card sorting room that almost everyone could enter).
It was also able to enter a strictly protected server room and electric clearance blank. This is probably not something everyone likes, but in consideration of my information technology skills, you can enjoy it every time.
Live casino workshops are constructed in cooperation with claims 4 9, which guarantees the 999 % operation warranty time. In fact, they achieve more!
The Tour
My tour guide was Kevin and a pleasant dealer Debbie, and he identified all the answers to all questions during the tour.
In particular, when my own quiz, "Trifles", was confused, this was a huge significance. Fortunately, all my answers were correct.
The building is wonderful. Play Tech moved to a remodeled building in 2017 that remodeled the commercial center / supermarket, and left it in the current property, which was intentionally built for live casinos. It is great that there are many auxiliary space for expansion if necessary.
The studio is mixed with greenish screens and physiological infrastructure.
A solid place is born, it is relatively easy to run in the studio, and it does not enter the camera.
The dealers were professional and no one even noticed our presence. They were 100% focused on what they were doing and on the players.
When you play online you hardly notice what technology is used.
Hats off to the dealers who work in the green screen studio. It's just them, the camera and the roulette wheel, and these four elements combine to make a pretty good online gaming experience.
The dealers looked very at home in this virtual world.
The studio space is a mix of dedicated rooms and desks available online.
In principle each one is separate, but some tables were temporarily placed in odd corners.
This is a pretty common practice in all the studios I visited.
It's nice that everything looks perfect, but changes are always happening. Sometimes the tables have to be rearranged because of moves.
The studio always looks rundown, so the support staff is on guard.
I saw the usual games like blackjack, roulette and baccarat, but what caught my attention were the special games like quantum roulette/blackjack, high-low and spin-a-win.
It was more interactive than what I saw online, with dealers giving pitches and guiding the play of each round.
It was lively here, and the view was great.
Dealer Scheduling
Dealers change tables and scenery every 30 minutes.
Employees are free to choose which desk to work at, which also makes it easier for them to work.
This kind of work flexibility creates some challenges for shift managers, but technology helps.
Recently, a fairly sophisticated scheduling platform was introduced, revolutionizing scheduling management.
Dealers register in the system and receive information about the next table on a terminal installed in the hallway.
This seems to be effective, as dealers no longer need to register at the table, saving time and allowing them to play more rounds.
Training Academy
In the center of the building is a modern training academy. This is the first thing you see when you pass through the reception. It's surrounded by glass, like an aquarium where students can't hide.
Every week, an average of 15 new students pass through here to start a new three-week training program.
Dealers undergo thorough training, learning the rules of the game, acting, presentation, and acting skills.
Not only the automatic tracking system, they are still studying ful l-fledged layouts for gambling.
There is also a makiart and nail polish workshop on the casino premises, where everyone can meet the demonstration standards.
He also encourages and teaches the dealers to be active. This is a major change in comparative culture for several years, and no matter which table you actually visit, I should be able to understand the impression.
Not a dealer employees will shorten the research on the 2-3 days. This helps to understand the essence of the proposal they provide.
I like the same alignment, it shows United thinking and desires, so everyone is working to achieve the same goal as 1.
Another encouraging sign that supports this idea. These are not all conversations!
German, British, Polish, Italian ...
In many cases, dealers and additional staff, for example, stacks, etc. are increasing the possibility of official promotion by exploring new languages.
In fact, most of the additional staff I spoke was a former dealer.
A Positive Culture
I pay attention to everything, whether I like details, intentionally or irresponsibly. This meaningless luggage talks about the people who live there, as in the accuracy of the building.
In the studio pit, all of the buildings for staff, which are usually somewhat filthy, were all innocent and clean.
This has created a culture that gives all the people I met. It appeared in the way of speaking of employees, how to welcome in the corridor, and everyday life.
At one point, a number of dealers who knew me came in with my video clip uploaded to YouTube. They were clearly happy to meet me, and I liked the first time I saw their matches and spent their time on their reviews. I was very surreal and happy to get a flattering review.
Summary
It was a small trip to the studio, but almost everything I noticed was familiar when I visited other vendors.
But I witnessed and understood the absolutely different playtech live I was waiting for.
One of the employees explained that the Play Tech Live was a family and cooperated closely for the same purpose. I rather pointed out evidence to trust this.
As a commentator and observer for the live casino, I didn't want to be trapped, thinking that the PlayTech and the Evolution were basically competing directly with different ones. Now I can see that this is absolutely wrong.
Play Tech's philosophy is different from Evans. PlayTech is a more diverse company than Evolution.
The two companies compete with quality and product lineup at the game level, but the two companies are completely different companies, and PlayTech offers more playe r-centered solutions.
It turns out that the Play Tech Live Dealer cooperates with customers and provides solutions based on customer demands.
As a result, live games are linked to brands and marketing strategies, creating a greater synergistic effect between games, player rewards, and other products.
This was not seen before, but now you can see that the value of players is much greater.
Final Thoughts
My day began with Edo and Kevin apologizing for inviting me.
But it's much more important to come to see new facilities than to visit a few years ago.
In the last three years, there has been a big progress. So it's even better for me :-)
Frankly, I didn't need an apology.
The past forms a future, but it is not the next blue copy.
I was able to get enough information to know that the Play Tech Live Dealer is heading in the right direction, having a certain strategy, and that only good things are waiting.
Thanks
I would like to thank everyone who made my day possible.
Everyone welcomed me without exception.
You know you are in a good place when the CEO runs behind you and the technical director is shooting you in the studio.
