The only thing missing? BetRivers Sports Bar will not be able to take sports bets.
The Illinois Gaming Commission formally opened the application process for sports betting licenses on Thursday. Sportsbooks are expected to open next year at casinos, racetracks and sports venues such as Allstate Arena and United Center. But Rivers and other applicants may have to wait until the board releases operating standards, possibly in early 2020, before they can start setting fees.
"We want to have the data available as soon as possible," Rivers general manager Corey Wise said during a recent tour of the brand new sports bar.

The law signed in June allows for the creation of six new casinos, 20 sportsbooks and a thousand fresh game rooms, these slot machines and blackjack table rooms.
Monitoring says the new gaming skills will increase tax revenue from gambling by $350 million per day, making Illinois the gambling mecca in the American Midwest.
"I'm not considering that a lot of it is in another space," says gambling business consultant Frank Fantini.
In Illinois, there are already many spaces where betting is possible. Since 2012, the state's overall gaming space has more than tripled, with video game terminals, standalone gaming machines and poker machines flourishing in bars, restaurants and parking lots. For the 12 months ending June 30, Illinois received more than $1. 4 billion in gaming taxes, 3. 5% more than last year.
In fact, Fantini believes Chicago casinos still have room to grow by increasing the number of gaming rooms, and that sports in particular will attract new casino buyers.
Sports Awards
The Illinois Sports Statistics Act will dissolve 10 state casinos, 3 hippodromes and 7 of the most coholic sports venues to obtain licenses for sports gaming, and 3 more licenses for online engines will be issued by 18 months after the site's license. California research and consulting firm Eilers & Krejcik, which monitors gaming, has predicted that Illinois' annual sales will reach $756 million in 5 years.
You can really come across it as you can, in fact, we promise, anyone can quickly just ignore these seemingly exactly how {} people. Advocates for the gambling commission flatly refused on Thursday to say whether the feature would launch when the method betting space opens up.
Thanks to the 2018 US Supreme Court decision, 20 states have legalized gambling.
But Illinois, for example, is in no rush, as it legalized sportsbooks in June. Indiana confirmed the law in May and launched sportsbooks at its casinos in the state in September. In October, American East Chicago acquired a mobile sportsbook, and two other Indiana casinos joined the network last month.
"We respect our neighbors in the Cleveland area, but at the same time, Illinois is a separate state and we have to do what's best for Illinois," Illinois State Administrator Marcus Fruchter said Thursday.

In the casino's first three months, Indiana received nearly $30 million in adjusted gross revenues -- revenue after profit payments -- from sports tickets, according to the Indiana Gambling Commission.
There's a lot of "bear" betting, says Dan Nita, regional president of Caesars Entertainment, a Horseshoe Hammond Maternal Company based in northwest Indiana, directly across the state from Chicago. "More than half of all events overlap with football."
Perhaps more important is the fact that online sports gambling has moved Indiana immediately. According to the Indiana Gaming Commission's monthly report, in November, more than 60% of sports betting fees were received via the Internet.
According to Illinois law, players must personally create an account for sports rates before playing online or on a mobile application. Operators are required to use geosound technology in their mobile applications, which allows them to track where bets are being placed and block access from outside the state.
It remains to be seen whether Bears fans will be able to bet at home next season. In a December report on sports rates, Eilers & Krejcik Gaming said Indiana could enjoy "significant out-of-state inflation" from players from Illinois for another year or two.
Casino expansion
When riverboat gambling was legalized in Illinois, it meant going to a place like Jolit, paying an admission fee, taking a two-hour trip along the Des Plaines River and entering the bottom of a floating casino.
Rivers Casino, which opened in 2011, will be the state's 10th and final casino. The 144, 000-liter man-made pool beneath the foundations is technically a riverboat. Visitors never see the water, but there is a maintenance pantry and a small Plexiglas window in the floor that gives a view into the pool, which is just 6 centimetres deep.
Now, in accordance with the Gambling Expanding Law, the most lively casino in the state has the ability to combine water from the pool. In November, Riverers paid $ 250, 000 to the first ground gaming license and allowed a 123 gaming room to the parts that were not actually located on the surface.
The casino will perform an extension of $ 150 million on the adjacent land, add a new 800 gaming rooms allowed by law, and the number of continuous gaming rooms will be 2, 000. The construction will end in the summer of next year.
Harraz Joliette & Amplifier & Metropolis, Casino Queen of East St. Louis, and Elgin's Grand Victoria said Fulk, a gambling council officially recognized to increase the 800 gaming room.

The staff plans to add six casinos from Wisconsin to the southern Illinois to stop the decline in profits from the casino. Rivers is a joint venture between Rush Street Gaming in Chicago and Kentucky's Louisville Churchill.
In the southern suburbs, there are four casinos candidates in Kalumet-City, Homwood/Eastern Hazel-Crest, Linwood, and Matthestone. There is also a plan to build a new casino in Rockford, Denville, and Williamson regions in southern Illinois.
The Gambling Council, Illinois, has received 10 of the six new casinos. The intention to build a sixth casino in Chicago is that 33. 3%of the city tax for gambling has been proposed by the parliament that the parliamentaries are discussing it to be very severe for developers. be.
The Gambling Council will issue a license within 12 months from the order of the order on October 28. Operators are allowed to open in a temporary building within two years, and at this time, unchanging space has been constructed, but according to Rivers Casino Adeptic Patrick Scala's text, this time is not. Though it is sufficient, Fresh Casino, including temporary buildings, will start operating in 2020.
The state 3-Hippodrome had a chance to add a casino by coordinating with a new bill, but Churchill Downs, the owner of Arlington International Hippodorom in Arlington Heights, is in 2020. I decided to withdraw.
Stykni's Hawthorne Race Course Hippodrome and Collinzille's DowntStation's Fairmount Park have filed to open the So-Called Hippo Casino with the Gambling Council until August 27. The Gambling Council had to decide whether to accept the hippodrome's opening application within 120 days, but Fruchtel said the countdown hasn't started yet because the application hasn't been deemed complete.
By law, Arlington can put up to 1, 200 slot machines and gambling tables in its hippodrome, but it decided not to file an application, surprising hippodrome officials and observers.
Illinois horse racing officials have long lobbied for casino gambling at the hippodrome as a way to increase their portfolio and better compete with other types of gambling, but Churchill Downt's leaders say the racino would be financially insolvent if it had to pay 20 percent more gambling taxes than existing casinos.
Churchill does plan to apply for a license for sports fees at the Hippodrome, however.

Illinois is the unofficial capital of video gaming terminals in the United States. 500 gaming and poker machines are installed in licensed bars, restaurants, parking lots and fraternal organizations. The gaming expansion bill will undoubtedly strengthen this position, as lawmakers agreed on Tuesday to speed up the deployment of potentially thousands of new gaming machines by 2020.
Seven years after video gaming began in Illinois, autonomous machines have generated more revenue than the state's 10 casinos. The state said that in the 12 months ending June 30, the state brought in $159 billion in adjusted gross revenue, with casinos bringing in $135 billion.
According to the state expansion law, 7. 241 video game points can operate six terminals, and up to 10 machines can be installed in large parking lots. The maximum fee will double to $4, and the maximum reward will increase from $500 to $1199.
Currently, the Gambling Council has received 1. 626 applications for the installation of a sixth machine gun.
